Position Overview
This position is responsible for managing a key function of the accounting department. This role also serves as a consultant for managers within the organization, advising them of current budgetary information and working with managers to create a fiscal strategy that aligns with the goals of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise the compliant application of company accounting and financial procedures by accounting staff.
- Audit the work of accounting department staff.
- Develop policies and procedures, systems, reports, analysis, etc. of major importance.
- Advise management on matters of fiscal procedure, compliance and importance for the organization.
- Serve as the subject matter expert for function managed.
What is expected of you and others at this level
- Manages professional employees and/or supervisors or supervises large, complex technical or business support or production operations team(s).
- Is accountable for the performance and results of a team within own discipline or function.
- Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operations challenges.
- Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance from senior manager.
- Provides technical guidance to employees, colleagues and/or customers.
MinimumQualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 5-7 years' relevant experience required
- CPA license require
