Description
Position Summary
The Accounting Intern will have the opportunity to learn and put into practice multiple processes and strategies involved in Accounting. This role will primarily be responsible for providing financial information by maintaining and reconciling accounts and preparing reports. Additionally, this position will support the Idaho Accounting team and the organization with daily work and projects as needed. Interns may work up to 30 hours per week.
Responsibilities
+ Post and process journal entries and adjusting journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded and correct
+ Analyze and reconcile bank accounts and general ledgers
+ Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements
+ Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
+ Assist with daily work, such as filing, and projects as needed
+ Maintain financial information by following company policies and procedures, and complying with financial legal requirements
Knowledge & Skills
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Strong mathematical and deductive reasoning skills
+ Able to communicate in writing and verbally in a professional and effective manner -
+ Able to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
Education
+ High school diploma or equivalent required
+ Pursuing a bachelor's degree from 4-year college or university in Business, Accounting, or similar
Other Requirements
+ Physical- This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
