About the role:
Vistar Media has created a 9-week program where students will gain hands-on working experience and knowledge about the advertising technology landscape, as well as the opportunity to collaborate with different departments within Vistar’s organization. We’re looking for college students who are passionate and eager about the innovative media industry.

As an Accounting Intern, you will be an integral part of our finance team, gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of accounting while contributing to real-world projects. This internship offers a unique opportunity to apply classroom knowledge to practical situations, develop essential skills, and kickstart your career in accounting.
Our summer interns will work 3 days per week for the duration of the internship program and will be expected to be in the office. Applications are due by April 5th.
What you'll do:
- Assist in approving expense reports and auditing receipts to ensure adherence to company’s expense policies.
- Support the accounts payable process by properly coding vendor invoices and obtaining approval.
- Collaborate with team members on updating our company policies including collections, expense reimbursements and credit cards.
- Contribute to the financial audit by gathering necessary support for our auditors.
- Engage in learning and comprehending the responsibilities of team members and actively participating in the documentation of departmental processes.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives to support departmental goals and continuous improvement efforts.
Who you are:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Have taken at least 2 accounting courses.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and concepts.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges with a positive attitude.
- Prior internship or relevant work experience is a plus, but not required.
- Able to work in the US for an indefinite period without sponsorship
- Able to come to the NYC office three days a week (relocation not offered)
