Accounting & Finance Manager, Law&Crime Network

We're looking for a detail-oriented and driven individual to join our team as a Finance Manager for Law&Crime. Reporting to the CFO, this role will involve managing various aspects of Law&Crime's finances. Responsibilities include overseeing corporate accounting, preparing financial reports, reviewing expenses, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. The ideal candidate will be someone who can balance strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to financial management.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of the accounting operations, including, all transactions related to general ledger, receivables (billings & collections), payables, and financial reporting.
• Prepare annual operating budget, quarterly re-forecasts, and work with department heads to determine necessary forecast adjustments and budget needs
• Execute the month end accounting close. This includes updating financial models, investigating & reporting budget variances, and creating journal entries.
• Review and reconcile select balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
• Build financial models, run scenario analysis and provide data analytics to identify areas of risk and opportunity
• Identify, build, and maintain core business KPIs that drive financial performance of the business
• Manage AR & AP, including setting up vendors and processing/approving invoice payments

Qualifications

• Based in the New York area. Please note this role is based in our Manhattan office with a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week in-office 
• 3+ years of experience in finance, accounting and/or FP&A
• Experience using QuickBooks; Netsuite proficiency is strongly preferred
• Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting; CPA strongly preferred 
• Experience working in the media space and familiarity with cable, production, OTT revenue and ad models is strongly preferred. 
• Strong understanding of corporate finance and accounting fundamentals.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to distill complexity down into its most salient elements and communicating with senior executives.

$90,000 - $120,000 a year
