Job description
We are currently seeking a temp to hire an Accounting Clerk, with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable experience to join our team reporting to the Full Charge Bookkeeper. The ideal candidate will have experience in Quick Books Desktop specifically and assist in managing our day-to-day accounting and finance requirements. Confidentiality, reliability, loyalty, excellent organization skills, and accuracy are important qualifications for this position, as well as good customer relations and the ability to communicate clearly. As a strong communicator and skilled financial analyst, you will make it your mission to streamline our budgeting, payroll, and financial reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities & Expectations
Responsibilities will include – assisting with monthly bank reconciliations; credit card reconciliations; assisting the general manager and full charge bookkeeper with support, as needed; maintaining an orderly filing system. Maintain accurate reporting of payables, receivables, and analytics to gauge progress against goals / forecasts.
Qualifications & Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role preferred.
- Experience working in accounts payables and receivables.
- QuickBooks Desktop experience is a must for this role. Please do not apply if you do not specifically have Desktop experience.
- Understanding of the General Ledger
- Experience working in a logistics, warehousing, manufacturing or a supply-chain and distribution company strongly preferred.
- Excellent Microsoft suite skills – particularly Excel
- A team player who is personable, has a strong work ethic and is collaborative by nature.
- Must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
