This position is for a General Contractor/Construction Manager in the South Hills area of Pittsburgh. The employee, if qualified may be trained to become our Accounting Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Support the month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and documentation
- Provide support for payroll processing and related tasks
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft
- Experience with general ledger accounting and reconciliation
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Financial acumen and ability to analyze financial data
