Job Details:
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our dynamic team in the Engineering industry. This is a permanent position, perfect for a self-starter who thrives in fast-paced environments. Our ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounts payable, billing, and warehouse administration, and will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the shipping/receiving activities of the Warehouse. This role requires a highly organized individual with a keen eye for detail and a minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar position.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage all aspects of accounts payable and billing, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and processed.
2. Plan, organize, and direct all shipping/receiving activities, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods and supplies.
3. Maintain an accurate record of all warehouse transactions and inventory, and prepare regular reports for management.
4. Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation and coordination of activities.
5. Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements and reports.
6. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies.
7. Identify and recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 2+ years of experience in accounting or a related field, preferably in the Engineering industry.
2. Proficiency in accounts payable, billing, and warehouse administration.
3. Proven experience in planning, organizing, and directing shipping/receiving activities.
4. Highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent problem-solving skills.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and experience with accounting software.
7. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
8. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
