Accounting Assistant

CAPRICO Biotechnologies Inc., an Atlanta-based start-up biotech company, is focused on the development and commercialization of flow cytometry reagents, including antibody-based in vitro diagnostic kit.

We are seeking a self-driven, motivated individual to apply for the position of Accountant Assistant (Job code 012).

Duties
- Perform data entry tasks to input financial transactions into the accounting system
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial records
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure accurate recordkeeping
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date files and documentation.

- Preparation of financial accounting reports and analysis as need, ensuring the timeliness and accuracy of accounting processing.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Implementation of the company's financial policy.

- Support the accounting team with various administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:
- Proven experience in data entry and general accounting tasks
- Proficiency in using accounting software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks)
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and practices
- Familiarity with financial services industry regulations (e.g., SOX compliance)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in numerical data entry
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain confidential information
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of debits, credits, and basic accounting terminology
