Accounting Assistant

Bay Area Fire Sprinkler Contractor is seeking a motivated and dedicated individual to fill our Accounting Assistant position immediately. Our company specializes in design, installation, service, and inspection of fire sprinkler systems.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, review, reconcile, and issue bills, invoices, and account statements according to company procedures
• Respond to guest billing inquiries over the phone
• Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy
• Organize, secure, and maintain all files and records
• AIA/Application for payment billings
• Invoicing
• Experience in payment applications: Textura, Procore, GCpay, etc.
• Experience with cash application
• Assist with reviewing and investigating short payments, dispute charges and deductions
• Assist with processing conditional and unconditional waivers in a timely manner and accurately
• Make collection calls on assigned accounts, provide professional and courteous customer service
• Review customer accounts in a timely manner
• Monitor outstanding balances, take proactive action to ensure timely payments
• Process and post daily cash, ACH, wire transfers and credit card transactions correctly
• Call on collections calls on assigned accounts while providing great customer service
• Monitor balances while taking appropriate actions, send statements to customers

Requirements and skills

• Microsoft Office skills, scan, file, copy documents
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Excellent attention to detail
• Assist with special projects as assigned
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
