Accountant/Bookkeeper

For this opportunity, we are looking for 3+ years' experience as a Bookkeeper - AR, AP, reconciliations experience and the ability to work autonomously, as well as, in a team atmosphere. The right candidate will need to enjoy working with a variety of people and have an energetic personality.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

1. Maintain accounting records (using QuickBooks) & prepare financial reports in a timely and accurate manner.
2. Process & record:
   1. customer billings & collections.
   2. vendor purchase & payment transactions.
   3. semi-monthly payroll
3. Perform customer bad debt collection.
4. Oversee processing of business tax returns and administrative filings.
5. Coordinate third party vendors.
6. Maintain adequate insurance coverage that specifically includes property, professional liability, general liability, building contents and workers compensation protection.
7. Maintain administrative and financial files. Administer record retention guidelines.

Education and Prior Work Experience
College degree in business or accounting with three years proven accounting and computer experience.
Equipment / Software Used

• QuickBooks
• ADP
• Microsoft Windows Suite (Word and Excel)
• Axis Care (desirable)
