Job Summary and Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY:

Performs activities concerned with general ledger and Accounts payable, and Financial reporting. Assist in process of accurately stating financial position of the hospital.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Assist in performance of monthly general ledger closing process.

2. Preparation and review of assigned balance sheet reconciliation to ensure actual activity is reported accurately with proper support. Also proposes necessary adjustments on a timely basis.

3. Manages Accounts Payable process including electronic invoicing, vendor research issues and GL coding.

4. Assists with completion of daily reporting for Internal Management needs.

5. Regular, punctual and dependable attendance.

6. Assists Controller and CFO as needed with Special Assignments.

7. Other duties as assigned.

What qualifications you will need:

EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:

· Bachelor’s Degree is Accounting, Finance or other business related field

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:

· None

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED:

· Experience in health care accounting preferred but not required

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:

· Requires computer knowledge and experience, including experience with Excel

· Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with individuals

· Excellent oral and written communications skills

· Excellent mathematical and analytical skills as evidenced by employment history

· Thorough knowledge of healthcare accounting and operations is preferable
