Accountant

Job Summary:

Full or Part-time accountant for multi-site medical practice. Accountant will be responsible for journal entries, bank transfers, month-end accounting, quarter-end and year-end accounting closes and supervise accounts payable.

Duties:

• Prepare outside Journal Entries and enter into general ledger
• Assist accountant in balance sheet Reconciliations (including researching and resolving outstanding items)
• Assist with month-end close process
• Communicate with corporate management and office managers to resolve issues as needed
• Performs a variety of special projects as needed
• Understand and follow established policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience
• 1-3 years General Accounting experience

Computer and other related Skills

• Knowledge of PC software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
• Experience with GL accounting systems. (Thomson Reuters Accounting CS a plus)
• Interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written including the ability to deal with a variety of personalities in a professional manner.
• Customer service, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Analytical skills required to identify and resolve problems effectively.

Pay: $53,481.79 - $64,408.18 per year

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
