Job Summary:

Growing Aviation company located in White Oak, PA seeking an experienced Accountant. The accountant will manage outgoing bills and invoices on behalf of the company. They will also be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all company accounts and assist with month-end reporting to senior management.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Updating and maintaining records of expenditures
• Sending out payments for company credit cards
• Responding to vendor invoices
• Pays invoices by verifying transaction information, scheduling, preparing disbursements, and obtaining authorization of payment.
• Ensuring that all payments are made in accordance with company policy.
• Resolving payment discrepancies and disputes on behalf of the company
• Collects revenue by reminding delinquent accounts and notifying customers of insufficient payments.
• Maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.
• Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
• Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation, issuing stop payments and adjustments.
• Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.
• Month end closing

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Proficient in QuickBooks, Word, and Excel
• High degree of accuracy
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong analytical skills
• Data Entry
• Proficient computer literacy skills and ability to learn software.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required.
• 1 year of experience in Finance or Accounting preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
