Accountant

The Aspenwood Company, a leader in the senior living industry, has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Accountant.

The Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the month end close process including bank reconciliations, allocating charges, preparing journal entries, and reviewing/analyzing financial statements.

Pay Rate: $70,000 - $80,000/yr.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
Prepare and post journal entries
Complete bank reconciliations
Analyzes information and options by developing spreadsheet reports; verifying information
Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; reconciling accounts
Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures; recommending changes
Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Ad hoc reports/projects as assigned by the SVP/VP Controller

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
3+ years’ experience with month end close
