We are seeking an experienced Account Manager to engage with our current commercial customers, in order to maintain business relationships, gain new business and ensure outstanding service delivery in the Harrisburg market. Reporting to the Sales Manager, this key role will be primarily responsible for negotiating special projects, energy upgrades and assisting customers with capital expense planning for all HVAC, boiler, plumbing, electrical and water treatment equipment.

This role will be based out of our Harrisburg office but may also train with our team in York.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop long term relationships with multiple points of contact for key customer accounts.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of all assigned accounts, managing accurate equipment information and overall long-term profitability for all customers
  • Provide consistent communication flow for each account and solicit customer feedback
  • Responsible for selling repairs, replacements, and energy upgrades, working efficiently to get to a win/lost/dead status and transition the work to the appropriate division.
  • Assist customers with capital expense planning
  • Maintain accurate PM tasking
  • Resolve customer billing issues promptly and fairly
  • Manage preventive maintenance renewals for each customer
  • Manage account turnover process for new accounts
  • Provide weekly reporting of sales forecasting
  • Responsible for identifying technicians’ skillsets that would match each account
  • Present information and influence credibly and effectively at multiple levels within an organization
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English, with excellent written and verbal skills and the ability to effectively communicate at various levels across the organization
  • Robust understanding of the basic functions of mechanical equipment and systems to include boilers, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, generators and electrical
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage key customer accounts
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, self-starter able to take initiative, and execute in a fast-paced work environment
  • Well organized and ability to prioritize competing demands with accuracy, in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Proficiency with MS Office and other industry related software such as Davisware-Global Edge, QlikView and/or North Boundaries

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required. Technical school or relevant work experience preferred
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of commercial service sales experience, preferred.
  • Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License and Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record required.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and a criminal background check required for hire.

This position requires the ability to occasionally lift material, equipment, and tools, up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, cell phone, copiers, filing cabinets etc.
