“A Day in the Life”
This is a career development opportunity for a highly motivated Sales Professional with a solid work ethic, exceptional character and a dynamic personality. Working primarily through field sales visits into the territory, the successful candidate will excel at building and maintaining customer and partner relationships while educating and advising clients and prospects on our products and services. In addition, this position requires an extensive concentration on customer prospecting and new business development. This position is an integral part of the sales organization and requires extensive customer and industry partner interface at various levels to determine requirements, provide accurate product information, and generate new customers and opportunities.
“What You’ll Do”
- Manage territory in south Texas (with a focus on Austin and Houston) to develop/maintain client relationships through the use of the telephone, electronic communications and face-to-face meetings
- Perform strategic planning of territory activities to implement and execute TRS-RenTelco’s go-to-market strategy
- Generate a specific volume of calls each day via phone or face to face sales meetings, and achieve customer contact metrics.
- Log detailed information into the appropriate Oracle CRM database.
- Educate and advise prospects and clients of TRS-RenTelco on products and services, and generate opportunities for business growth.
- Develop local relationships with our key OEM partners and network in the region to identify additional new business opportunities
- Provide solution sales, complete activity reporting duties and perform ethical business practices in compliance with established company policies and procedures.
- Effectively team with the Application Engineer team partner to achieve monthly targets.
- Participate in sales and product training programs and meetings.

- Excellent and proven face to face customer interfacing sales skills required.
- Ability to achieve customer contact goals, and handle potential customers in a professional and appropriate manner
- Ability to convey sales messaging in a professional and effective manner, and provide summary information to potential customers
- Highly-skilled at building relationships with customers, prospects and industry partners
- Organized, detailed and accurate with demonstrated high-level computer and telephone skills.
- Demonstrated selling and closing skills.
- BS degree preferred or equivalent sales experience in electronics or test equipment considered.
- Outside sales experience calling on customers, prospecting and developing/maintaining relationships for at least one year.
- Knowledge of rental/lease practices.
- Prior experience with MS Office products and a customer database software
