Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 (DOE) + Bonus + Benefits

Typical Hours: Monday-Friday; 40-45 hours/week
Travel: Variable (5-20%), from Richmond, VA, DMV area to Central PA (day trips, home each evening)

Account Manager Description
Our client, a provider of critical office supplies and services, is looking for an Account Manager to add to their team in Sterling, VA. You will be responsible for acting as the subject matter expert in the category of Janitorial & Facilities supplies/products, ensuring the sales team has the necessary knowledge and most competitive offerings in the market to exceed and grow sales targets while enhancing customer satisfaction. Our client is looking for someone with at least three (3) years of experience working with and around commercial cleaning supplies/products, chemicals, and equipment with strong product knowledge to ensure the best products for the best price can be available to customers. To be successful in the role, you must possess excellent communication and organization skills, with the ability to effectively work in a team environment. Account Manager Responsibilities
• Collaborate with sales representatives to identify sales opportunities within the category
• Achieve category sales and gross profit goals
• Support sales with complex opportunities, from needs analysis to customer presentations
• Aid sales representatives in closing significant opportunities
• Establish, develop, sell to, and oversee designated key accounts
• Cultivate and manage relationships with category product vendors
• Research and explore alternative vendors to enhance and support competitiveness
• Stay up to date on new products, attend tradeshows, training events/schools
• Manage in house stock with purchasing/warehouse staff in accordance to policy and procedures
• Communicate industry and vendor information/news/updates regularly to sales
• Continually educate and train sales team on competitive category products/offerings
• Address customer issues beyond the scope of assigned sales reps as the subject matter expert
• Collaborate with marketing to create promotional materials and programs for increased sales
• Ensure warehouse and delivery crews are trained for handling and installing primary products
• Coordinate with purchasing to set up new vendors, identify stock items, and manage levels
Account Manager Qualifications
• 3+ years of commercial cleaning supplies/product knowledge or experience required
• Computer proficiency and Microsoft Word and Excel (spreadsheets, formulas) skills required
• Driver’s license and access to reliable personal vehicle required
• Travel as needed (day trips, Richmond, VA, DMV area to central PA) required
