Raven is seeking the right individual to fill the position of an Account Executive . This position is managing the accounts, not people and will work with ocean carriers, customs brokers, freight forwarders, importers, and exporters that provide or utilize international transportation services throughout Florida and the world. Existing FEC ocean carrier customers include Crowley Maritime, Seaboard Marine, CMA/CGM, and Maersk. This Logistics Consultant will help Raven to diagnose and design best-in-class logistical services using Raven’s fast, safe and efficient Trucking network within Florida. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of international trade, creativity, keen problem-solving and analytical skills, and the ability to work with logistics personnel at every level. Additional duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for securing new customers and maintaining and developing existing accounts.
- Meet and exceed target set in terms of contributing and generating revenue for the department through building new connections via cold calling and developing current connections.
- Conduct and report minimum number of sales leads set by the management and transform a minimum of those into revenue generating business.
- Maintain records of customer details / sales visits.
- Identify potential customers and register opportunities; relentlessly pursue realization of such opportunities leading to revenue for the company.
- Regularly visit existing accounts validating our service levels and develop new revenue streams.
- Negotiate with the accounts as per price guidelines given, looking to maximize profits.
- Follow up on customer communications in a timely and professional manner.
- Support Customer Service and work closely with Operations and on the execution of customer service contracts.
- Promote the services and products of all entities, and coordinate sales efforts with other departments.
- Assimilate market information and take part in the overall business development through weekly / monthly sales meetings.
- Travel as necessary, including overnight as required
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
- 2 or more years of experience required in Business/Strategic Development, Sales/Account Management, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Logistics, or Operations
EQUIVALENT MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 7 or more years of experience required in Business/Strategic Development, Sales/Account Management, Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Logistics, or Operations
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Knowledge of the domestic intermodal and truckload markets, competitive factors and pricing
- Ability to effectively negotiate contracts
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and executive audiences
- Analytical expertise
- Ability to maintain composure in high stress situations
- Ability to orchestrate multiple activities in a high-paced environment
- Ability to be decisive and exercise good judgment
- Knowledge of trucking operations and physical infrastructure

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 45-65% travel required
- Work hours may vary in length and schedule (may include a non-standard workweek)
