Overview:
The Account Executive is a key member of the sales team who is responsible for achieving the sales and profit targets for the discounter channel. Account Executives are responsible for in depth sales analysis, negotiating, and strategic planning in addition to daily sales operational and administrative responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead market appointments.
- Achieve sales and profit plans for both cuts and excess.
- Work with merchandising on assortments to achieve desired category targets.
- Negotiate seasonal buys.
- Adhere to all calendar due dates.
- Prepare seasonal best & slow selling recaps.
- Identify new opportunities, at the account and category level.
- Oversee order confirmation.
- Keep abreast of competitive selling information, shop stores.
- Train & develop assistant Account Executive.
- Work with planning on monthly forecasts
Qualifications:
- 3 years of prior Account Executive experience in the off-price channel.
- Strong organizational skills-able to focus, prioritize and follow through.
- Ability to build strong relationships with, cross functional team member, retail partners/nurture key relationships.
- Skilled negotiator
- Excel at communicating in person, virtually and email.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated; ability to take initiative to complete tasks quickly and independently.
- Travel may be required, based on business needs.
- Adhere to regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration. Job duties may be performed effectively using the hybrid work program designated by the company.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor as the company retains the right to change duties to this position.
- Must have authorization to work in the United States.
Physical Requirements:- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
- Ability to maintain regular and timely attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state and local standards and Company’s policy.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position for up to 8 hours per day
- Ability to constantly operate a computer, other office equipment and look at a monitor for up to 8 hours per day
- Ability to clearly and accurately communicate and exchange information verbally, in writing, or through other means in person, telephonically, or through virtual communication methods
- Ability to position self to reach at or below shoulder level
- Ability to carry equipment, move boxes/samples, etc.
Requirements & EEO Statement: The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000 annually Pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to position offered and work experience.
