Our powerhouse team is actively seeking an Account Director with experience in the technology space to join our rapidly growing team. This role is responsible for having a thorough understanding of the client’s digital and technical landscape and overall business goals and opportunities. They earn the trust of the client as a strategic advisor, working in conjunction with the overall account service teams and strategic leads to identify and address opportunities to reach revenue goals.
The Account Director develops digital and technical strategies and plans to help grow accounts through our various offerings, overseeing junior account team members and project staff in the implementation and measurement of digital and technical programs, monitors industry trends and consistently drives the client and team through thought leadership.
This is a senior level position based out of either our New York or Atlanta office with occasional travel to client locations.
Key Reponsibilities:
- Lead and activate digital and technical strategies for assigned clients, while overseeing the execution of delivery teams
- Anticipate client needs, keeping the agency in the position of leading rather than following
- Challenge direction or the status quo and seek alternate perspectives and approaches in developing effective strategies for clients
- Ability to drive revenue laterally within accounts while managing budgets and long term goals
- Manage the internal process for delivering client projects on strategy and within scope
- Partner with senior leaders to set goals and plans for future account planning
- Advocate clients internally and keep the complete agency team informed, focused, and enthused about their business
- Monitor client business on a daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly basis to ensure defined strategy & metrics are successful
- Work cross-functionally with the various departments of the agency and client team members on all aspects of projects
- Work with the analytics department to drive decisions in a way that adds measurable results
- Lead the presentations and sale of new ideas and projects
- Be trusted and relied on by internal teams and key clients
- Continue to build expertise within the digital and social landscape
- Manage a team; oversight of team and contribute to their success
Must Have Skills:
10+ years’ experience in client management at a marketing agency with passion and drive to stay current with social media trends and tools, including attending networking and educational events
Experience delivering technical and digital marketing initiatives to clients
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or similar discipline
