GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for the development of Project Makers Accelerate and Support Program and contribute to the development of the organization’s strategic goals. Will report to the Operations Director.
ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Create a strategic plan for the accelerator program, aligning it with the goals and objectives of the Project Makers and our stakeholders.
2. Lead the process of recruiting and selecting startups for the accelerator program.
3. Provide direct assistance, support, and guidance to participants in business development strategies and growth. (Customer Service).
4. Collaborate with management to develop and implement an effective program strategy based on our target audience.
5. Develop, execute, and support activities, events, workshops, and demo days for Project Makers Accelerate and Support participants.
6. Oversee day-to-day operations of the accelerator program.
7. Identify and bring resources, key industry players, and consultants to support participants needs and facilitate mentorship.
8. Establish, nurture, and maintain effective relationships with investors and potential partners to facilitate connections with the participants.
9. Collaborate with external organizations to enhance the resources and opportunities available to the accelerator participants.
10. Maintain records of activities, analytics, and metrics.
11. Monitor and evaluate the progress of the participants throughout the program.
12. Work with the communications department to develop and implement marketing strategies to promote the program and its success stories.
13. Proficiency in email, design, and publishing software.
14. Manage conflict as it arises and escalate to management.
15. Manage internal communications with participants.
16. Evaluate the effectiveness of the program and identify areas for improvement.
17. Plan, coordinate, and execute the annual budget process for the program.
18. Ensure that Project Makers is adhering to the strategic plan, delivering status reports to the board.
19. Provide analytical support to Project Makers internal management team.
20. Support in the coordination of activities and external resources of Project Makers.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION Y/O EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s in business administration or related area and a minimum of 5 years of experience providing technical assistance to small business owners and overseeing/managing the day-to-day operations of a similar program.
COMMUNICATION: Mastery of both verbal and written communication skills that allow you to express yourself clearly and with certainty in English and Spanish with internal or external personnel of any hierarchical level.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. The position may require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day. May reach above shoulder heights or below the waist and lift as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday and must be able to lift 15 pounds and use proper lifting techniques.
MENTAL DEMANDS: Ability to analyze problems, plan strategies and direct projects. Ability to handle problems involving specific variables in standard or variable situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and validate conclusions. Ability to read financial reports and legal documents. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, and portions in practical situations. Excellent planning is a critical skill. Excel at strategic thinking, be open to new perspectives and better ways to do things; and be creative, a visionary, and manage innovation well.
