SalaryElite Title Company is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing team as a title examiner.
Essential job functions include:
- Conducting ownership searches either online or at the appropriate county office to determine the chain of title, finding existing easements, rights of way, survey maps and plat maps.
- Analyze records, such as judgments, mortgages, liens, conveyance deeds, probate estates, bankruptcies and legal descriptions to verify legal ownership of a property.
- Perform title examinations and examine the chain of title for potential issues.
- Prepare the initial title commitment based on the examination of the records, making necessary requirements and exceptions pursuant to underwriting guidelines.
- Review the initial report for accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Reliable and consistent attendance and punctuality is a must.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to the team.
- Attention to detail
- Research and investigative skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Communication skills, both written and verbal
Must be able to obtain a Missouri Department of Insurance Producer License.
Job Type: Full-time
