Requirements
SHIFT: Midnight to 8am Sunday- Thursday
Organization:
Reports to Warehouse Supervisor
Accountability:
Responsible for accurate receiving, storing and shipping of product to meet company standards of sanitation, safety, security and productivity.
Inbound Freight: Count all product, compare to manifest and check all shipments for damage, infestation and production code dates. Report shortages, damages and miss-shipments on appropriate forms. Sign for inbound shipments when necessary. Unload inbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations. Efficiently stack and store merchandise. Use RF to stock inbound.
Order Picking: Ensure that the correct number and type of product is picked. Transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms with material handling equipment. Stencil, tag or mark orders as required.
Outbound Freight: Compare quantity, labeling and address with order to ensure outgoing shipments are complete and correct. Accept signature for outbound as necessary. Efficiently move product into trailers, rail cars or containers.
Equipment: Maintain equipment in a neat, clean and orderly fashion. Operate equipment safely and efficiently. Comply with OSHA and company standards.
Inventory: Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts. Ensure proper stock rotation.
Other Duties: Repack or re-box cases per customer instructions. Repair and recoup damaged goods as required. Operate shrink-wrap machine. Charge forklift battery as needed; clean work areas, clean railcars, trailers, and truck bays as requested.
Qualifications:
A. Education: High School Graduate, or equivalent.
B. Experience: Minimum of one (3) year previous warehouse experience.
C. Knowledge/Skills: Computer proficient, Microsoft Word and Excel. Must have basic technology (GPS) acumen. Must be able to read, count accurately, do simple math (add, subtract, multiply) and write legibly.
Essential job functions: Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level and crouch on a frequent basis. Must be able to use proper techniques to lift 50 pounds. The ability to follow directions with emphasis on safety is extremely important. Must be able to handle stress caused in meeting deadlines with tight scheduling requirements. Must be able to shift priorities easily. Must be able to use hands and feet simultaneously and for repetitive movements. Ability to work with others as well as independently.
Must have responsible work habits and pass any pre-employment tests. Must pass the drug test and a background check. Must be familiar with warehouse systems.
