PPG Aerospace onsite in Wallingford, CT is hiring a 3rd Shift Production Supervisor. As a 3rd Shift Production Supervisor, you'll report to the Operations Manager and lead the 3rd Shift team in meeting demand and delivery of superior products to our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of 8-10 direct reports
- Monitor performance, quality, and safety of the production process and workers
- Handle hiring, coaching, and performance management of the team
- Provide training, tracking, and development opportunities
- Manage attendance, time, and LOAs
- Address performance deficiencies within the team
- Monitor and maintain consumable materials inventory
- Order or request materials needed to support the production schedule
- Ensure efficient machine operations, including setup and technical guidance
- Track job progress, update production metrics, and maintain records
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent general education degree required
- 3+ years leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment is preferred
- 3+ years of direct people management experience
- ERP experience preferred
- Knowledge and proven practical application of Lean manufacturing models, processes and applications
- Superior team leadership, interpersonal and prioritizing skills
