Responsibilities


  1. Food Preparation: Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and portion sizes, ensuring high standards of taste, presentation, and quality are maintained.
  2. Line Station Management: Manage a specific station on the kitchen line, such as grill, sauté, or fryer, ensuring that all items are prepared efficiently and timely during service.
  3. Food Safety and Sanitation: Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations, including proper handling, storage, and labeling of food products. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
  4. Quality Control: Inspect ingredients and finished dishes to ensure they meet quality standards before they are served to customers. Communicate any concerns or issues regarding food quality to the kitchen manager or chef.
  5. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff, including chefs, sous chefs, and other Line Cooks, to coordinate food preparation and ensure smooth service during late-night hours.
  6. Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring inventory levels of food products and supplies, notifying the kitchen manager or chef when items need to be reordered. Minimize food waste by using ingredients efficiently.
  7. Equipment Maintenance: Properly operate and maintain kitchen equipment, including grills, ovens, fryers, and other cooking appliances. Report any malfunctioning equipment to the kitchen manager for repair or replacement.
  8. Adherence to Procedures: Follow kitchen policies and procedures, including portion control, cooking temperatures, and plating guidelines, to maintain consistency and quality in food preparation.

Qualifications

  1. Experience: Previous experience working as a Line Cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment, preferably with experience working overnight or late-night shifts.
  2. Culinary Skills: Strong culinary skills with a good understanding of cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen operations.
  3. Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently produce high-quality dishes.
  4. Time Management: Effective time management skills with the ability to work efficiently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Team Player: Strong teamwork and collaboration skills with the ability to communicate effectively with other kitchen staff and work together to achieve common goals.
  6. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and withstand high temperatures in a kitchen environment.
  7. Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure, especially during busy late-night shifts.
  8. Food Safety Knowledge: Understanding of food safety principles and practices, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures.

Overall, a 3rd Shift Line Cook plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation of the kitchen during late-night hours, contributing to the overall success of the restaurant by consistently delivering high-quality food to customers.

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation depends on your experience.
