Equitable is looking for a dynamic Regional Sales Vice President to join our Group Retirement team!  The 3rd Party Regional Sales Vice President is responsible for driving growth of 401(k) and Governmental 457(b) sales through 3rd Party financial advisors and RIA's in assigned region. Primary responsibilities include developing sales pipeline, generating activities to drive proposal development and point of sale meetings to attain assigned goal. Leverage internal sales desk to grow sales in assigned region and follow up on sales desk leads. The candidate will be responsible for communicating with Divisional Vice President (DVP) on an ongoing basis regarding territory sales activities and sales goal attainment.

 

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Developing sales pipeline
  • Generating activities to drive proposal development and point of sale meetings to attain assigned goal
  • Leverage internal sales desk to grow Group 401(k) and Governmental 457(b) sales in assigned region and follow up on sales desk leads


The base salary for this position is $90,000. This role is eligible for variable compensation.

Required Qualifications

 

  • 7 years of 401(k)/457(b) Wholesaling experience in Southern California, Arizona and Nevada
  • Professional working knowledge of 401(k)/457(b), Cash Balance and Managed Accounts products
  • FINRA Series Licenses 6 or 7, and 63
  • Life and Health Insurance Licenses

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • CLU, ChFC, CFP a big plus
  • Exceptional communication/ interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work with others in a team environment
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative style
  • Ability to develop strategies and business plans to deliver and exceed expected business objectives and results
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task while maintaining strict attention to detail
  • Advanced relationship management skills

Financial Planning Instruments (Pensions, Annuities, etc.): Knowledge of financial planning products, market segments and marketplaces; ability to analyze and apply knowledge of financial planning products to meet financial goals and objectives.

Knowledge of Product Line: Knowledge of methodologies, tools and techniques for specific products; ability to develop product line processes and strategies.

Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.

Relationship Building: Knowledge of the importance of creating positive relationships within the team and ability to develop trusting relationships by valuing others' concerns and contributions.
