Title: 3PL Distribution Manager
Location: Dallas, TX (3 days a week in office)
The Manager, 3PL Distribution ensures compliant and effective distribution processes, costs, and performance across the 3PL Distribution Network. Primary areas of focus are on monitoring, reporting, and enhancing performance through selected KPIs and supplier relationship management. The position proposes and leads project & continuous improvement initiatives to ensure 3PL operations can run free of interruptions. The Manager, 3PL Distribution has a strong understanding of distribution capabilities and leads customer order prioritization through open collaboration with cross-function teams.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Owns warehouse processes and inter-dependencies in an automated warehouse management environment with multiple warehouse networks (Oracle experience preferred)
  • Manages the contractual relationship between our company and our warehouse partners. Including warehouse costs related to network, contract negotiations with suppliers and associated contracts and volume commitments. Responsible for monthly cost follow-ups to stakeholders and providing trends to finance and identify savings
  • Ability to successfully present business cases for process and system needs, enhancements and upgrades, to all levels of management with clearly document expected benefits, risks and resource requirements, to ensure smooth functioning of critical tasks.
  • Drive continuous improvement through ongoing process review, modernization of warehouse engagement and partnering with others onsite to establish best practices that reduce cost of operation, improve service level, capacity, productivity, and quality.
  • Responsible for inventory accuracy in multiple warehouse network with objective of serving the customer in a compliant and sustainable way, through robust processes and governance for daily reconciliation, monitoring and KPIs reporting.
  • Develops and maintains the distribution performance framework including compliant standardized processes, RACIs, KPIs, SLAs and guidelines, in line with Global Logistics team.
  • Maintains oversight of key processes; returned goods processing according to company guidelines and procedures; receiving, pick line set-up, order accuracy, inventory accuracy, and all matters pertaining to product tracking/ tracing regulations (including DSCSA).
  • Strong ability to collaborate cross-functionally, influence outcomes with compelling facts, functional knowledge and experiences. Leverage strategic partners research as necessary
  • Able to project out capacity utilization and distribution needs using business plans & growth targets
  • Ability to understand different and complex customer specific requirements; labeling, picking, lot number control and product dating requirements. Designing new processes and aligning existing processes to satisfy such needs
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in related field preferred. Diploma degree/experience considered in lieu of degree
  • Minimum eight (8) years of related experience within a 3PL or similar environment with minimum five (3) years in site leadership role.
  • Experience operating in state-of-art Warehouse Management Systems and semi-automated material handling equipment.
  • Experience with a pharmaceutical and/or consumer packaged goods environment preferred
  • APICS / ASCM Certification in Supply Chain Management or other professional designation preferred
  • Proficiency with MS Office (i.e. Outlook, Word, and Excel) and time management software experience desirable
  • Demonstrate high level of integrity and sense of urgency
  • Ability to organize, manage and prioritize multiple tasks to ensure timely completion in a constantly changing environment
  • Ability to function effectively with a minimum supervision
