3D Product Designer

Please Note: This is a project based position. Not a full time position.

Job Description:

The 3D Product Designer will design and develop Home Products. Responsible for designing and developing trends, color, fabrications, silhouettes, for upcoming season as well a working with the China office to develop original textiles and patterns. The 3D Home Product Designer also presents their products to external Customers for feedback and improvement.

Job Duties:

· Maintain an awareness of current market trends in Home and Apparel and incorporate this knowledge into new designs.

· Coordinate with Product Managers to understand and address requirements for customers, pricing, construction processes and materials.

· Engage in ongoing research and development of new inspiration and ideas utilizing relevant new finishes, colors, and fabrics, and key techniques.

· Apply creativity and originality in group and individual brainstorming sessions to generate new ideas.

· Create silhouette, fabric, and construction specifications in 3D CLO, that are sent to factories to use for product development. Prepare artwork with necessary specifications of color and repeat so it can be used for fabric mass production.

· Review and revise the design of factory samples to conform to specifications and cost.

· Execute final artwork for presentations to the customers.

Qualification:

· BA/BS or equivalent in Fashion/Apparel/Textiles

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop)

· Experience with CLO not required, but willingness to train in CLO is required as we utilize it frequently.

· Experience with Browzwear, Optitex or similar 3D software is a plus.

· Experience with Pattern Making

· Knowledge of Home Textiles

· Excellent design color sense

· Experience with taking photos and retouching photos via Photoshop

· Ability to translate market trends to product and adapt to the brand aesthetic.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour

• 1099 contract
