Job Summary:

The 30K Program Industrial team represents all of production operations to the program office and represents the program office to all of operations. In this wide-ranging capacity, the organization is also responsible for representing operations to both our airframe customers, Airbus & Irkut, as well as our program partners such as MTU, IHI, MHI, GKN, etc. The 30K Program industrial team is looking for an individual who is self-motivated and desire to work in an area which provides broad visibility to both production operations throughout P&W and our supply chain as well as to the program office. You will report to the 30K Production Chief Office, be focused on the Mechanical Systems and Nacelles Module Center supporting Performance Improvement Program upgrades for the 30K program and provide operational alignment to the program office for both original equipment manufacturer and maintenance repair overhaul efforts.

In this role the 30K Program Industrial Module Center Manager will work alongside the module center’s Industrial Manager and Supply chain managers to develop configuration change incorporation strategies and risk mitigation plans to support the Performance Improvement Program development program, production entry into service, and ramp to rate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary 30K communication focal between CIPT/IPT, Mod Center, and Program Industrial and will be responsible and accountable for executing the required tasks to complete these activities.
  • Provide program impact data for capital expenditures, electronic capital approval requests.
  • Coordinate with Product Cost Focal and Mod Center on module-level cost tasking
  • Lead industrial planning at a part, value stream level that identifies the plan structure, framework and timing on sourcing and manufacturing decisions, including development to production transition, engineering change implementation, source transitions, proactive risk identification & mitigation, identify risks to execution, support mitigation plans and drive actions to closure.
  • Collaborate with General Manager, Manufacturing Engineer & Product Director to coordinate 30K engineering support to meet product cost targets at program and part level and work with Network Capacity and Regional Offices to understand current capacity, future demand outlook and align capacity plans that support overall customer demand.
  • Support boost (run at rate) testing for internal operations and at external sources. Develop, track and close action items to increase capacity and capability.

Basic Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Engineering, Operations or related field or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years' experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Primavera experience
  • Project Management experience
  • Relevant leadership experience in Operations, Engineering or Program Office

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
