POSITION SUMMARY:
Filtration Group is looking for a Material Handler.
- Maintain clean and safe working environment in line with company policies
- Move material and other various material handling duties in the facility
- Manually loads raw material and/or finished product on skid or hand truck
- Stack skids or pallets in designated areas. Cleans up and disposes of scrap bracing.
- Use tools such as hammers and crowbars to remove strapping, open crates, strap cars
- Ability to work in other areas of the plant
- Responsible for checking tags on product
- Report problems or issues to group lead
- May assist in placement of full and empty oil drums
- Utility person on the line in assembly department
- Assist inventory
- To manually, by hand truck or by forklift and pallet jack move materials, supplies and finished goods to designated places in the facility or onto trucks.
- Ability to lift up to 55 pounds of weight
- Ability to read and understand spec sheets
- Willingness to learn other line jobs to serve as utility person for breaks and lunch
- Must be able to operate a tow motor
- Must be able to do end of the day Scrap Reports
- Standing, walking and lifting for an 10 hour shift
