Job Description
The Maintenance Mechanic will service equipment. This role performs repairs, corrections, replacements, inspections, documents, and files accordingly and reports back to the Maintenance Supervisor.
Requirements:Essential Functions
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment; primarily loaders, shears, grapple, skid steers, forklifts, tractor/trailers
- Perform daily preventative maintenance on equipment as required
- Follow the dress code and compliance of proper PPE at all times
- Work independently in the absence of direct supervision
- Prepare all necessary documentation (Bills of Lading, Work Orders, Purchase Orders, Tool Orders)
- Conveyor systems, hydraulic systems, PLCs
- Welding, grinding, weld set-up
- Set up and break down machinery
- Maintain 5-S program (Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, Sustain)
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or GED, trade school
- 2 years minimum experience Maintenance/Mechanic
- Hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical

Physical Requirements

- Exposure to physical operations in scrap recycling facilities, including walking/climbing in active industrial yards with uneven surfaces in inclement weather
