SHIFT: 2nd Shift 3:15PM - 11:45PM
WAGE: $24.92-$39.23 (Pay is dependent on experience based on the Union Agreement)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Comply with organizational health, safety, and environmental rules and regulations
- Run & operate medium to large Conventional Vertical Lathe’s & Horizontal Boring Machines along with miscellaneous lathes & milling operations.
- Set-up and program machine equipment
- Work to hold Scheduling and maintain a good workflow
- Create maintenance work orders as needed to keep the equipment and tools in good working order
- Perform preventative maintenance necessary for the Machine Tool
- Participate in cost saving or process improvement projects
- Maintain good housekeeping at your work station
- Immediately correct safety issues that are within your area and alert management to any safety issues that need further attention
- Self-motivated and able to work well with others
- Good safe working behavior
- Advance blueprint reading and basic understanding of geometric dimension tolerancing
- Ability to use various methods of measurement tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strives for accuracy and compliance
- Able to wear all required personal protective equipment
- Understanding of all the basics and advance tooling application on conventional and CNC machine workstations
- Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of four years experience as a Journey Level Machinist
- Apprenticeship certificate or equal is a plus
- Experience running and operating conventional medium to large vertical lathes & horizontal boring machines with programming at the machine tool work station preferred
- Prefer computer skills knowledge
- Strong mathematical skills
- CNC Programming
- Must be able to use arms, hands, legs and feet in repetitive motions
- Must be able to twist, stoop, bend, and stand in the performance of job duties
- Must be able to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand and walk on concrete floors and uneven surfaces for the duration of the shift
