Currently, Ryerson’s Milwaukee, WI plant has an opportunity for a 2nd Shift truck loader.

The primary responsibility of this position are:

• Truck loading for outbound customer shipments
• Sheet and bar order assembly
• Proper completion of sheet/bar assembly work order paperwork
• Maximum productivity during job task
• Carrying/moving packaging supplies
• Crating or packaging material for shipment and packaging skids
• Other miscellaneous duties as directed by supervision.
• Direct filling of orders
• Unloading of inbound material through truck unloading and putting into proper storage locations
• Movement of Work-in-Progress through the plant, could include: skids of sheet, bundles of bar, plate, and metal coils
• Staging of material for daily production runs
• Staging material for shipping

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Basic math skills
• Basic computer skills and/or comfort using a computer
• Physical ability to pass physical requirements exam for vision, hearing and mobility
• Previous overhead crane and forklift experience a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
