SalaryBrighton Tru-Edge is looking for technically skilled candidates with excellent attention to detail for the position of forklift operator and material handler. Forklift operators are responsible for material management through the facility to ensure operational efficiency, managing inventory, assisting in die changes on machines, among other duties.
Forklift operators will need to transport valuable items, requiring diligence and good hand-eye coordination.
Job Responsibilities
- Complete paperwork every day to maintain production and industry regulations and company standards.
- Make sure work environment remains safe, uncluttered, clean and well-maintained by performing maintenance and general janitorial duties throughout shift as time allows.
- Look over all work orders and instructions to see which materials are needed to complete orders.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and maintain assigned machines and equipment as needed for maximum product quality and operational efficiency.
- Assist in the change over of dies with the machine operators.
- Stage material at machines to keep machines running efficiently.
- Collaborate with the shift lead on inventory and storage of material in the yard.
- Support the shipping team by being capable to unload and load trucks.
Job Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Able to lift at least 40 pounds
- Must be able to pass a drug test
- At least a full year of work experience as a forklift operator is preferred
- Good physical condition
- 1st shift: 6:30 am – 3 pm Monday – Friday
- 2nd Shift: 3 pm – 11:30 pm Monday – Friday
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
