Job Description
Machinist is to review all documentation to confirm correct materials are staged for set up of machining job. Ability to check 1st article to prove dimensions and compliance to all drawing and specification requirements. Machinist is able to make adjustments on CNC settings for 1st article to comply to drawing and specification requirements. Machinist then is expected to run production on CNC lathe of 2, 3 and 4 axis (milling) components. Machinist is to maximize feeds and speeds of CNC to result in efficiency of production. Machinist must keep area around the machine clean and be aware of any safety hazards prior to starting the machine.
Requirements
- Experience in Mazak Mazatrol controls mandatory
- Experience on HAAS G-Code controls preferred.
- Proficient in using calipers to inspect and confirm dimensions of machined components.
- Experience in machining plastics (PTFE- “Teflon” , PEEK and other polymers).
- Experience in recording in process dimensions of machined components during production.
- Work Safely and adhere to general Environmental, Health and Safety principles
- Consider and address all significant risks associated with processes/actions impacting Customer Requirements, the fluorseals QMS, and employee safety by recommending counter measures to eliminate or minimize risks.
- Awareness of and Compliance with: fluorseals Quality Policy, Key Objectives, ISO Procedures, Work instructions, Forms and other associated documentation - including Documentation and Document Control requirements and participation in QMS Management Reviews as applicable.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement actions that improve overall fluorseals quality and performance to increase productivity and Customer Satisfaction.
- Help to ensure that noncompliant product is identified and not received or shipped to and/or from fluorseals
- Good communication skills and team orientation
- Stay current on latest best-practice methodologies pertaining to assigned responsibility
- Ability to work overtime, holidays, and weekends when required by supervisor.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
