2Nd Shift Acme Screw Machine Operator

Responsibilities:

• Operating rotary transfer machine (ACME GRIDLEY)
• Monitoring cycle time to meet standards
• Operating bench grinder and surface grinder to sharpen tools
• Maintaining cleanliness of equipment, work area, and gage stations
• Reading blueprints for product specifications
• Positioning and securing tools in tool holders per tooling layout
• Ensuring machine performs to quality control plan & quality check sheets

Qualifications

• 5-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating machine instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to write routine correspondence
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts to support the qualifications listed above

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
