Position: Network Security Architect

Locations: New York, NY (Onsite from Day 1)

Job Description:

• Firewall Deployment for the new Data center.
• Migration of firewalls from different models to Fortinet.
• Coordination with data center team for the firewall delivery (PO will be raised by L3 engineers).
• Coordinate with Engineering and Security Architecture team for the design and integration of new and exciting Fortinet Firewalls.
• Understand networking/design which includes things like routing switching, ethernet (fiber optics 10/40/100G), TCP/IP, packet Trace and analysis.
• Coordinate with data center team for mounting firewalls in racks as per design along with respective SFPs for each ports.
• Coordinate with Network team for the networking design and Switch/router design and port allocation.
• Coordinate with data center team again for patching the cable as per the allocated ports from the network team.
• Get the firewall connected with console and other ports as per the design.
• Configure the firewalls according to the design and plant/purpose as derived by the engineering team.
• Check the firewall stability by conduct all kind of tests in the firewall along with network team like Failover test, BGP connectivity test, power failure test and etc.
• Make sure all the inventory is in place for the firewall and supporting details, IP address, host name and racking details.
• Onboard the firewall for production by scheduling the change management ticket.
• Register the firewall with vendor portal and activate the license.
• Hand over the firewall for production.
• Support and coordinate for the server and application migration (firewall level troubleshooting).
• Decommissioning the EOL and migrated firewalls as per the process derived by the Security architecture team.
