This position is eligible for health benefits through SEBB. https://www.hca.wa.gov/employee-retiree-benefits/school-employees/medical-plans-and-benefits And the following time off benefits per contract year (pro-rated by start date):Vacation - 28 daysPersonal leave - 5 daysSick leave - 12 daysAny person holding one or more of the following certifications shall receive fifty cents (50) per hour premium for each certificate, for each hour worked, up to three certifications: Cisco Certifications - CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate); CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional); CCIE (CiscoCertified Internetworking Engineer)Microsoft Certifications - MCTS (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist); MCITP (Microsoft Certified IT Professional): MCSE(Microsoft Certified System Engineer)ACIS - (Avaya Certified Implementation Specialist - Avaya focused certification)CTP - (Convergence Technologies Professional: vendor-neutral certification for VoIP systems)Other certifications not listed above may be eligible for this hourly premium provided POSITION SUMMARY: Support the District's technological infrastructure by implementing, maintaining, and trouble-shooting server, computer, network, security, and audio/visual equipment. ESSENTIAL Duties and Responsibilities: Maintains and managesDistrict-wide phone system, 911 system, voicemail system and intercom system; andDistrict-wide video security systems to support school safety, investigations, video storage, and equipment maintenance.Installs all new hardware, systems and software related to the scope of this position.Performs troubleshooting analysis of phone, voicemail, intercom, video, and wiring systems.Repairs or coordinates repair of all equipment related to the scope of this position.Maintains district inventory and manages inventory reconciliationAssists Network Engineer II in the configuration and ongoing support of District implemented hosted solutions.Assists Network Engineer II in the maintenance of network and computing infrastructure.Oversees software imaging and network security applications (System Center, JAMF Pro, Content filtering, Antivirus, etc.) Manages system back-up and restore protocol.Performs troubleshooting analysis of servers and associated systems.Assists site technology specialists in their efforts to support staff and students.Assists students with hardware and/or software usage.

Sets up, maintains and troubleshoots AV equipment.Deploys, updates and maintains District-owned desktops, laptops and tablets.Sets up, maintains and troubleshoots AVSupports curriculum delivery with the integration of technology. Perform e-discovery services for the purpose of investigating and fulfilling public records requests.Provides and recommends professional development to staff in usage of hardware and software in a group or one-on-one.Provide excellent customer service onsite and remotely for the purpose of restoring service promptly and to resolve problems.Additional Functions:Provides hardware installation and minor repairs.Maintains and cleans all technology equipment.Implements District software standards.Serves on committees relating to technology as requested.Maintains hardware inventory and software licensing records.Documents network problems and resolution for future reference.Researches and stays current with technology trends to best meet the District's current and futureOther duties as assigned related to purpose of QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must possess the ability to read, analyze and interpret scientifc and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents, such as software licenses.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to present information in one-on-one and small group situations to vendors, other employees, District stakeholders and/or students. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of administrators, managers, staff, clients, customers, and/or the general public.Mathematical SkillsAbility to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret barReasoning AbilityAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Must be able to review and interpret highly technical information, write technical materials, and/or solve practicalAbility to communicate effectively with staff, students, public and administration. Ability to manage time effectively with little supervision. Ability to perform job under severe time constraints and pressure.

Ability to perform duties in accordance with all District and State requirements and policies. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, stand, bend or twist at the trunk, stoop/squat/kneel, reach above the head, reach forward, repeat the same hand, arm, or finger motion many times, type/keyboard for prolonged periods without a break, have manual and finger dexterity, push items on wheels over carpeted floor, blacktop/paved road, tiled floor, concrete or other rough outdoor surfaces. The employee must be able to sit, have hand/grip strength, lift up to 50 pounds floor to waist (occasionally loads over 50 pounds can be reduced to smaller loads), lift up to 25 pounds waist to shoulder, lift up to 25 pounds shoulder to overhead, push/pull over 90 pounds on wheels (such as AV cart, portable computer lab cart), carry 26 to 50 pounds (such as computers, printers) up to 150 feet.

The employee may occasionally bend or twist at the neck more than the average person, climb (on ladders, etc), lift over 76 pounds floor to waist, carry 51 to 75 pounds. Specifc vision and hearing required by this job include seeing close work such as typed or handwritten material, screw heads when working with equipment, and good depth perception.
