2024 Ride Operator (Seasonal) $15/Hr

Duties and Responsibilities: To operate amusement park rides located at Jenkinson’s Boardwalk. You will need to comply with all the policies and procedures of Jenkinson's Boardwalk while assisting guests and operating the rides in a safe and responsible manner.

Additional responsibilities for the Ride Operator include:
1. Follow proper and complete uniform policy and be ready for scheduled shift.
2. Filling out a pre-opening inspection checklist for the ride you are assigned to work.
3. Inspect each ride to make sure that all the functions for your assigned ride work properly.
4. Enforce policies specific to the assigned ride in accordance with state and company policies.
5. Provide information about facilities, rules and regulations.
6. Check all guests' restraints.
7. Operator the ride using the control panel and proper procedures.
8. Maintain constant vigilance on passengers while ride is in motion.
9. Communicate with guests when the ride is not in motion.
10. Close down the ride.
11. Clean the ride.
12. Cell phone use while at the ride is strictly prohibited.

Abilities:*

• Applicants must be able to listen, understand and communicate information.
• Problem sensitivity – the ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is one.

Requirements:
As a Ride Operator for Jenkinson's, you must study the procedures and proper operational techniques of the park and follow them in every relevant situation. You must also be focused as a Ride Operator and cycle people through the attraction efficiently and cautiously. Ride operators will be outside in the sun on their feet during their shift.
