INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW
This internship is designed to focus primarily on social media, public relations, marketing and communications. Under the direction of the Louisiana Golf Association (LGA) Executive Director and Director of Communications & Marketing, the intern will enhance the LGA's brand, champion and celebrate Louisiana golf, create digital content, work to provide value-added benefits for LGA member clubs and individual members, and share the "good of the game" message on behalf of the LGA and United States Golf Association (USGA). May 1 - October 31, 2024 ( flexible start/end dates )

- Assist in developing and managing social media campaigns, seamlessly integrating them into broader communication channels like the website and newsletter.
- Curate content for Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram derived from LGA events and initiatives.
- Strengthen the LGA's YouTube presence and expand audience engagement across all social platforms.
- Provide coverage and post-round recaps for significant LGA and USGA events.
- Assist in creating press releases and event promotion materials, and maintaining media contacts.
- Gather interviews and photographs from LGA events.
- Collaborate in identifying, cultivating, and managing sponsorships.
- Liaise with partners, sponsors, and stakeholders to optimize relationships and promotions.
- Work towards communication goals outlined in the LGA's strategic plan.
- Explore co-branding opportunities with the USGA and related stakeholders in the game.
- Develop, execute, and monitor marketing and communication strategies.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director to enhance brand awareness.
- Focus on member benefits to enrich the LGA experience.
- Promote LGA member clubs across social media channels.
- Engage with member clubs and identify community outreach opportunities.
