About Prep Network
Prep Network generates exposure for high school athletes so they can compete at the collegiate level. We connect college coaches with student-athletes through our content, tournaments, and showcases, and create opportunities in the process. We are not your typical sports company.
Content.
We have nine brands, each with their unique website, publishing more than 3,500 unique articles each month. Our scouts produce coverage by actively searching out new and upcoming athletes, throughout the U.S., at every level of play. We aim to discover, analyze, and promote the “diamond in the rough” prospects who wish to play at the next level.

We are the No. 1 independent grassroots basketball event operator in the U.S. with a growing presence in girls basketball and volleyball hosting over 100 tournaments each year. What makes us different is our niche combination of top competitions with high-quality media exposure for the teams that attend our events. We stock every one of our events with our scouts and fill our websites and social media channels with analyses of the athletes competing.

We host 150+ showcases each year for boys and girls basketball, girls volleyball, football, and soccer. These showcases host over 10,000 prospects who compete in front of hundreds of colleges, scouts, and other media outlets from across the country.

Job Description
You will work closely with our Scouts (content writers) as a part of our Digital Team. You will assist with the application and onboarding processes and help coordinate coverage logistics for our Prep Network event season. You will also work with our data and analytics tools to track and monitor trends, create new strategies and ideas, provide innovative and conceptual feedback, and improve strategies for our written content.
We are looking for someone who can function across a variety of software tools such as GSuite, Asana, and Slack. Someone who is curious and a team player, collaborating across departments is essential.
Eager to join the team early? Start your internship in the Spring of 2023 on a part-time (10-15 hours/week) basis, then move into a full-time (40 hours/week) internship during the summer.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in fielding prospective scout applications and guiding new scouts through the onboarding process
- Monitor data tools and examine sitewide trends to innovate, ideate, and strategize new ways to grow the business
- Provide feedback to scouts on their content and push them in the direction of more productive, effective coverage
- Help coordinate travel and coverage logistics for scouts covering Prep Network events
- Assist in subscription-tracking and scorecard updating across digital team initiatives, such as ranking updates, events, etc.
Required Skills
- Must have completed sophomore year in college with a preference for business, comm, or media/journalism major
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
- Strong organization skills
