Job description

The Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Clinical Manufacturing team as a Drug Product Specialist Co-op. In this role, you will work closely with a team of experts to support the manufacturing and quality control processes for clinical-stage mRNA drug products. You will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility and contribute to the development of life-saving therapies.
Our co-op program goes from: January 16th to June 14th 2024. All applicants must be available for the entire duration of the program and available to work onsite in Norwood, MA.
Here's What You'll Do:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Process Development, Quality Control, and Quality Assurance, to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, yield, and product quality.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of manufacturing activities and assist in data analysis.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new manufacturing technologies and process improvements.
  • Support the preparation and review of batch records, protocols, and other manufacturing documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Perform in-process testing and sampling during manufacturing operations to ensure product quality and integrity.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and actively promote a culture of safety within the manufacturing environment.

Here's What You'll Bring to the Table:
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, etc.).
  • Strong interest in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on drug product manufacturing and quality control.
  • Familiarity with cGMP regulations and the ability to follow SOPs and manufacturing protocols.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
  • Computer programming and debugging skills with specific emphasis on Function Block Diagrams (FBD), Sequential Function Charts (SFC), Structured Text (ST), and Ladder Diagram (LD) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals, network/virtualization hardware, and virtualization platforms is a plus
