Salary and Benefits
The salary range is $42,103 - $91,215 depending on education/experience plus a generous benefit plan. Salary will be pro-rated based on hire date.

Springfield Public Schools is located in Springfield, Oregon, in the heart of the Willamette Valley, and serves 185 square miles of the city of Springfield and East/Central Lane County. About the Position
Springfield Public Schools seeks outstanding candidates for the position of Temporary Grade 7 Math/Science teacher at Hamlin Middle School. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge and experience with Middle School-aged students;
• Strong understanding of multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) for academics and social/emotional/behavior
• Knowledge and experience working in a school or district that implements the concepts of Response to Intervention (RtI);
• Knowledge of school-wide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS);
• Demonstrated understanding of, and responsiveness to, the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds that characterize a K-12 school community in a manner specific to the position;
• Strong student relationship building skills and the ability to establish a sound system of classroom routines and management;
• Establishes effective, collaborative working relationships with diverse staff, student and community populations.
• Ability to effectively manage and supervise students and their work.

Minimum Qualifications

• A valid state of Oregon teaching license, or the ability to get one, with both Foundational Math AND Foundational Science endorsements ;
• Successfully pass fingerprinting, criminal, Oregon Department of Education, and TSPC background checks.
