SalaryJOB SUMMARY:
The primary responsibilities are but not limited to, maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials in stock, preparing shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating/wrapping, loading, and securing product, mentoring team members, as well as other assigned duties.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the training and development of the shipping team (provide guides and motivation),
- Ensure department goals are reached,
- Communicate tasks and goals to the shipping team,
- Keep the team motivated and focused on the task at hand,
- Lead team members by example and objective,
- Handle inventory,
- Picking orders, loading/unloading, & prepping shipment,
- Utilizing forklift,
- Visual quality control of products,
- Double check the shipping team's work,
- Ensure all personnel are following all safety guidelines and company policies,
- Ensure proper processes and SOPs are followed,
- Maintain an organized and clean work environment,
- Process sales orders and manufacturing orders in ERP system from start to finish,
- Assist with inventory and cycle counts,
- Assist Manager with upkeep of supplies for warehouse and office- Pallets, shrink wrap and other misc. supplies needed for shipping.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least two years of warehouse/shipping experience.
- Experience in a workplace leadership role.
- Experience in inventory system management.
- At least two years of experience on sit-down forklift.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent problem solver.
- Displays excellent leadership skills and abilities (integrity, inspires, committed, good communicator, decision-making capabilities, delegation, accountability, innovation, & empathy).
- Ability to self-reflect.
- Ability to read and write in English.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Infor software.
- UPS Worldwide software.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work on weekends if necessary.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis.
- Must be able to kneel, stoop, bend, and twist on a daily basis.
- Must be able to stand for extended period of time on a daily basis.
