The schdule for this role is Monday-Friday 7a-3p, extended days/hours may apply during peak seasons.
The Sanitation Associate is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the facility (to include exterior grounds) as well as promoting Company safety initiatives. The Sanitation position may also operate various equipment including (but not limited to) powered industrial trucks (of different types and configurations), walkie rider, hand jack, truck, carts, and various types of landscaping equipment.
Essential Functions of Job:

• Ensure that high use common areas are sanitized at scheduled times and cleanliness is maintained consistently. Refill toilet paper, seat protectors, hand towels, soap and hygiene items in rest rooms as needed. Wipe down tables and chairs in break rooms and refill paper towels as needed. Clean microwaves and refrigerators per established schedule.
• Ensure that all common use equipment and fixtures are in good working condition.
• Sweep, mop and resurface floors.
• Empty all trash in all departments.
• Clean walls and windows, which requires the ability to climb ladders.
• Report to Facility Manager/Coordinator any items needing repair/replacement.
• Clean parking lots to ensure trash and debris are not present.
• Snow and ice removal as needed based on weather conditions.
• Safe guard all assigned tools and equipment.
• Use various motorized material handling equipment as assigned to successfully complete sanitation assignments.
• Comply with all safety laws, all of SEPHORA’s safety policies and rules including proper work attire; report safety violations and potential safety violations to appropriate supervisory or management personnel.
• Comply with all Company Loss Prevention policies and procedures, including proper work attire.
• Maintain regular and acceptable attendance as set by Sephora.
• Maintain a flexible work schedule and adhere to the requirement of working any designated shift and overtime as requested per business and operational needs.
• Assist Maintenance as needed on facility up-keep projects.
• Provide high quality internal and external customer service per company standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None

Working Conditions:

• Moderate but varying temperature and humidity in office and warehouse environments.
• Work is performed inside and outside the property with exposure to inclement weather.
• Regularly exposed to cold, heat dust, pollen, odors, oil, fumes and noise.
• Biohazard Clean Up when needed. Will work with chemicals, flammable liquids, hand tools, & leaf blowers and other landscaping equipment.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to stand, sit, squat, lift and/or walk for duration of scheduled shift.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to climb ladders and work effectively at a height of 8 feet..

Minimum Qualifications:

• Two years of sanitation experience preferred.
• Experience operating material handling and landscaping equipment.
