Job Description
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain calibration of laboratory instruments and corresponding documentation.
- Sampling and inspection of incoming liquid railcars of raw material and completion of corresponding documentation.
- Physical and analytical testing of incoming raw materials and finished product for color, odor, granulation, foreign material, moisture, pH, brix, % invert, etc.
- Conduct environmental, raw material, and finished product microbial sampling and testing.
- Organizing samples to submit to 3rd party lab.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of all individual data generated in the lab & record data in computer.
- Maintain and organize retain sample and lab supply storage areas.
- Perform line audits and GMP self-inspections as required.
- Perform Glass and Brittle monthly plant inspections.
- Clean work area, and other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Education and Experience (Licenses and Certifications):
- High school diploma or GED
- Some college science courses preferred
- Experience in a lab environment is preferred
- Experience in food facility GMPs, QC, food safety, & sanitation preferred

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & Teams
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
- LS Facility - Valid Driver’s license and willingness to operate motor vehicles during employment
- Constant attention to detail and safety
Essential Physical Demands:
- Occasional work in hot and/or dusty conditions
- Ability to walk considerable distances, climb ladders, & lift to 55 lbs.

Working Hours:
- Standard working hours for 1st Shift are: 7am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday and as necessary to complete the requirements of the position
- Overtime may be required, and hours are subject to change based on company needs.
- Employees are required to clock in 10 minutes before the beginning of the shift.
