POSITION SUMMARY:
The General Production Worker is responsible for screening, packing and boxing quality product from a production line.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Inspect finish product ensuring it meets product specifications
- Stacking product properly and maintaining accurate case counts.
- Assemble boxes and pack finished product
- Must be willing to rotate between the different positions in Packout and between the Corn and Flour departments as needed
- Perform any other work as assigned by supervisor
- Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF Requirements
- Must perform all positions of rotation, if applicable.
- Responsible for picking up scrap/trash and discarding it into the properly color-coded barrel or scrap modules
- Assures that only product that is contaminated, burnt, or unfit for regrind is going into the proper color-coded scrap barrels
- Ensures that reusable product from the line is placed in the white barrels for regrind reprocessing
- Responsible for keeping scrap barrels clean and in good shape. Damaged scrap barrels are to be discarded
- Responsible for pushing scrap module back to shipping once it is full, weighing the scrap and dumping it properly and recording weights
- Responsible for keeping the floors clean (sweeping) and free of debris
- Perform any other work as assigned by supervisor
- Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF Requirements
- Must perform all positions of rotation, if applicable
REQUIREMENTS:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to flex/grip with wrists/hands
- Standing, twisting, climbing stairs, reaching 12-24 inches and repetitive lifting of up to 10 lbs. frequently
- Ability to perform basic math functions (adding, subtracting, multiplying, etc.) with use of calculator.
