Job Description

Job Title: Packaging / General Labor 2nd & 3rd shift

Reports To: Shift Supervisor

Objective: Fill, weigh, record finished pet food being packed.

Job Functions:

• Confirm formula and packaging is correct
• Fill product into packaging and seal packaging
• Confirm weight is accurate
• Confirm lot code information is correct.
• Record product type, size, formula, and quality packed

Food Safety Functions:

• Inspect product and packaging for any foul smell
• Inspect product and packaging for any foreign materials
• Inspect product and packaging for appearance
• Ensure no finished product is placed on the floor
• Cover any unused packaging
• Report any off odors, insects, and rodent activities
• Compliance of GMPs and the food safety plan

Skills and Abilities:

• Must be able to read and write.
• Effective communication skills.
• Must be able to lift at least 55 lbs. - Stacking bags on a skid - repeatedly
