1St Shift - Hr Support

Work Now Staffing is looking to hire HR Support for our Bedford Park client.

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Shift: 6:00am - 3:00pm, Monday - Thursday and 6:00am - 12:00pm, Friday

Job Details:

• Setup new hire information and conduct new hire orientation; onboarding new employees, including monitoring of probationary period performance
• Assist HR Manager with injury claims, discipline, insurance, COBRA, FMLA, retirement plan, OSHA records
• Handle employee requests and send memos regarding holidays
• Update attendance records and vacation schedules
• Coordinate with employment agency as needed (including tracking hours, submitting time sheets and approving invoices; monitoring temp to hire status)
• Maintain and update Seniority & Skills matrix
• As member of Safety Committee:
  • Prepare agenda, attend meetings and take notes, send minutes and follow up on action items
  • Responsible for issuance of respirators (scheduling employees for initial / annual testing and related training, maintaining records, updating posting of approved wearers)
  • Assist with maintaining SDS binder, Hazcom program and safety labels for products
• Phone support
• Process vacation / time off requests
• Organizing and keeping stock (orders from Amazon/Sam’s Club) of office supplies, basic first aid supplies, plates/napkins/plastic utensils
• Helping to recruit candidates for entry level & general labor positions; maintain job openings board
• Maintain related trackers
• Distributing company license plates / insurance cards / vehicle registration papers; maintaining approved driver list
• Plan and lead employee events, including lunches, training & meetings

• Does not have to have HR experience / training will be provided to a candidate that is a quick learner and have strong communication skills
• Must have strong Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) skills
• Good attendance will be critical
• Must be able to get a US Security Clearance when brought on as a perm employee
