Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced 1st Class Marine Welders for projects located in and around Newport News, VA . This is a full time opportunity with a pay range of up to $45/hour based on experience plus $120/Per Diem to Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:
Multipass, All Position Fillet and Butt Welds
Using SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding), FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding), and GMAWP (Pulse Arc Welding
Heating Oxygen/Propane Heating Torch
Air Carbon Arc Gouging
Requirements:
Minimum of 4 Years of NNS or Naval Shipyard Experience as a 1st Class Welder
Open to Working All Shifts
US Citizen
Experience Working in a Physically Demanding Environment, Shipboard Subassemblies, Ladders Staging, etc.
Familiarity with OSHA Regulations Relative to the Shipbuilding Industry
Ability to Properly Use Fillet and Butt Weld Gauges
Able to Pass Multiple Weld Tests
Wear Standard PPE
Confined Space Training
OSHA 10 Certification; TI does offer course to Qualified Employees who have yet to obtain the Certification
